Fender 1978 Jazzbass in Olympic White with rosewood and binding
This is a 1978 Fender Jazz Bass in Olympic White. The neck has a rosewood fingerboard with binding. This finish with rosewood and binding is pretty rare. The bass has been gigged, so it has plenty of honest wear, but it is still in very good condition. The neck has had a professional refret done, so it has almost no fretwear. The bass is mostly original, with the exception of the Hipshot drop D tuning machine that was a common mod for this year bass, and the Badass bridge, which was also a very common mod that adds sustain. The bass is currently setup with nice medium low action, and the strings ring out clearly across the board. The rosewood is beautiful and dark, and the Olympic White finish has aged to a lovely yellowed patina. All electronics are original. The bass weighs in at 11 pounds, 10 ounces. A non-original TKL hard case is included with the sale, as shown in the pictures.
