This listing is for a vintage 1923 Gibson A2 style mandolin with its original hard shell case. These older Gibson mandolins have wood that is aged to perfection. It is very loud for its size and has a glorious tone. It plays with relatively low action, and the strings ring out clearly across the board. The original hard shell case is in good condition, which is rare. There are two top crack to the right of the sound hole on the upper bout that appear to be stable and not moving. They do not hinder the tone in any way.
